I will provide you with compassionate support and empower you to navigate the special education process. My services include, but are not limited to:
- Document review and development of a plan of action;
- Early Intervention Support;
- Preschool Special Education Support;
- Obtaining Academic Intervention Services (“AIS”);
- Initiating the IEP process;
- Reviewing and modifying an existing IEP to ensure that it is meeting your child’s needs;
- Advocating for additional services under an existing IEP;
- Seeking related services such as Counseling, Speech and Language, Physical and Occupational Therapies;
- Obtaining evaluations including a Neuropsychological, Functional Behavioral Assessments (“FBA”) and a corresponding Behavior Intervention Plan (“BIP”);
- Attending Manifestation Determination Reviews (“MDR”) for children who have IEPs; and,
- Seeking compensatory or make-up services.
While my first desire is to collaborate with school districts, I have the skills and the experience needed to proceed to legal action if necessary.
I also facilitate workshops with the intention of empowering parents to successfully advocate for their child’s needs and services.
